Section 5 Use of cookies

a) This website uses the following types of cookies, the scope and functionality of which are explained in the following:

– Transient cookies (see point b)

– Persistent cookies (see point c).

b) Transient cookies are automatically deleted when you close the browser. In particular, this includes session cookies. These save what is referred to as a session ID, via which various requests from your browser can be allocated to the shared session. This enables your computer to be recognised the next time you return to our website. Session cookies are deleted when you log out or close the browser.

c) Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a specified duration, which may differ depending on the cookie. You can delete the cookies in your browser’s security settings at any time.

d) You can adjust your browser settings to meet your preferences and, for example, refuse the acceptance of third-party cookies or all cookies. Please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website.

e) We use cookies to enable us to identify you the next time you visit the site, provided that you have an account with us. Otherwise, you would need to log in again on each visit.

f) The flash cookies used are not captured by your browser but by your flash plug-in. In addition we use HTML5 storage objects that are placed on your end device. These objects store the required data, irrespective of which browser you use, and do not have an automatic expiry date. If you do not wish to allow processing by flash cookies, you must install an appropriate add-on, for example “Better Privacy” for Mozilla Firefox (https://addons.mozilla.org/de/firefox/addon/betterprivacy/) or the Adobe-Flash-Killer-Cookie for Google Chrome. You can prevent the use of HTML5 storage objects by using your browser’s private mode. In addition we recommend that you manually delete cookies and your browser history on a regular basis.

Section 6 Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google, Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies, which are text files stored on your computer, to help the website analyse how you use the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website will be transmitted to and stored by Google on servers in the USA. This website uses Google’s IP anonymisation “_anonymizeIp()” whereby the user’s IP address is truncated in advance by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states that are party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there. Truncating IP addresses eliminates the possibility that they can be directly associated with any person. Google will use this information on behalf of the operator of this website in order to assess the user’s use of the website, collect reports of their website activities, and to provide additional services associated with website and internet usage with respect to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser in connection with Google Analytics will not be merged with other data by Google. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting a corresponding setting in your browser software; however, please note that you may not be able to use all functions of this website to the full extent if you do this. You can also prevent Google from collecting and processing the data created by the cookie, and data relating to your use of the website (including your IP address) by downloading and installing the browser plugin available under the following link.

https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout
If you delete cookies following an internet session the opt-out cookie must be reinstalled.

Section 7 Google Maps

This website also uses the Google Maps product provided by Google Inc. to display maps. Your IP address needs to be stored in order to use the functions of Google Maps. This information will generally be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. The provider of this page has no control over this data transmission. Google Maps is used in the interests of providing an attractive display of our online offering and to enable the places we mention on the website to be found easily. This constitutes a legitimate interest pursuant to point (f) of Article 6(1) GDPR.
